Olympus also managed to squeeze the TG-310&rsquo. ll adjust while shooting are accessible through the overlay menu. As you scroll down through the menu items they expand out to the left, and a text overlay opens to explain what each option does. The On/Off button and shutter release are located on the top of the camera. An always-on overlay puts shooting options at the far right of the LCD, without obscuring much of the frame. Hitting the Info button can make the overlay disappear, giving you a cleaner view of your frame. The Olympus Stylus Tough 8010 digital camera withstands inhospitable environments while taking very good pictures. The heavy-duty housing is well-sealed from the elements, with the battery compartment and usb and hdmi connections sealed by an o-ring protected double-locked door.
Initial camera set-up is VERY simple. After inserting and partly charging the battery (via the camera USB connection), camera initialization can be performed from the attached computer. Image-processing software can also be installed from the camera itself. The software is basic, but does have a couple of Olympus-specific touches.
