Agree with those Floridians that need this digital TV for hurricane emergency and are disappointed with the product. Amazon should have checked the accuracy of the specifications they posted. I also pre-ordered this TV and accepted the delays since I thought it would be worth the wait. The product advertised the alkaline battery function without indicating that this is an option. The fact that the option is not available until the end of hurricane season is very frustrating. Amazon should make sure this battery pack is available to all those clients that pre-ordered. I am very disappointed in Amazon for not supporting it’s clients.
I too bought this because it was the only one that said it worked with alkaline batteries. (It states on the box under standard features that it works with regular AA batteries.) That is only if you buy the additional docking station, which won’t be ready until Novemeber for an additional cost. I also did not get great reception. You will need to purchase an additional antenna.
