In the mean time I starting reading that the Samsung 2010 models were about to hit the market. When I saw that the price was lower than last year’s model, I decided to buy. I haven’t been disappointed since then. I read many great reviews about last year’s model (LN46B630) which helped in my decision. That, combined with a lower price, a better contrast ratio (120000:1 vs. 80000:1), and the 2010’s picture displaying 100% of the NTSC Color Standard, helped to seal the deal. My only regret is that the remote control was/is difficult for me to learn. Here are my settings if anyone would like to try them. These are for when the tv is in the Standard Picture mode: Contrast-80, Brightness-45, Color-47, Tint-50/50. I adjust the backlight when the room lighting changes. In the Advanced Picture menu: Black Tone-Dark, Dynamic Contrast-Low, Color Space-Native, Flesh Tone-minus 4. In the Picture Options menu: Color Tone-Normal, Film Mode-Auto 1. My other TV has an input button where each time you press the button it cycles through any inputs that are connected. The Samsung input button displays a menu and you have to navigate with the arrow buttons then select an input, it takes 4-6 button presses to change inputs (there are over a dozen inputs listed – fortunately the ones you use are near the top).
